GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR OUR PARENTS/GUARDIANS AND STUDENTS In Syntax Tutors Academy (STA), we provide QUALITY Home tuitions with personal attention. We keep in mind the needs of parents, requirements of each Board Exams, and stress problems of students at large who are in their academic pursuits. Quality Education is our chief goal. We are supported by a team of well trained, and qualified teachers. We conduct Full time Courses and Part Time Courses based on individual requirements for S.S.C, H.S.C, C.B.S.E, I.C.S.E, IB, I.G.C.S.E, NIOS, and so on. 1. Our following Terms & Conditions shall be strictly enforced and observed so as to ensure sustained success of students and growth of STA. 2. The Terms and Conditions mentioned here under shall be in effective for one full Academic Year/Special sessions. Each Academic Year consists of two terms. 3. All Faculty Members are screened and are required to undergo Psychological Tests and workshops in communication skills, besides proficiency in their subjects. They must fill General Terms and Conditions (G.T.C) form, Contract form and Registration Form, which shall be kept as personal records along with their professional records. 4. (i) Fees paid for one term/course cannot be carried forward or adjusted for another course /term or towards another student /subject on any ground. If a student falls sick or for valid reasons misses the lessons with prior permission of the teacher concerned, readjustment of additional visits can be considered for the specified month or course to complete the portion within contracted number of visits. (ii) Addition of new subject for enrolled students will be taken on same admission form number and fees will be taken as required, depending upon subject value. (iii) Parents cannot give different syllabus, sheet /books to our faculty to coach. And also cannot force the faculty to coach the subject of other teacher. 5. The management shall ensure that the teachers selected as faculty of STA are well trained and well informed in their respective subjects' .The feedback reports from parents as well as from the students shall be preserved along with professional records of each faculty for future evaluation. 6. Each faculty will be assessed, guided and trained in teaching methodology. Our faculty will teach strictly for school/board examinations only. In case of project our faculty can only guide the student, not complete the entire project on behalf of the student. 7. We offer to parents two models of courses for their ward viz: (i) Full Time Course which covers all the subjects for one full academic year for which the parents have to pay full term fee in three/four installments. (including service tax.) (ii) Part time course in which coaching is sought for one or two subjects only for ONE full academic year or for certain decided months in an academic year. For Part time! Special Courses the parents must pay full course fee before the commencement of the course. They will not be eligible for any installment facility (including service tax). (iii) Special remedial coaching only for three months will be considered in one or two subject's minimum for a period of three months as a special case after an interview and a written test .For instance, a student who has missed lessons due to sickness and has become very weak in one or two subjects. In this case also, the full fee must be paid before the commencement of first remedial teaching lesson (including service tax). 8. There shall be a regular written test after every 15 days on the portion covered. This shall enable us to assess the gradual improvement of the students and also the effectiveness of the teaching methodology. 9 (i) Parents shall be required to give regular feedback, attend special meetings and counseling sessions for special cases when required. (ii) Regular interference or involvement of parent with faculty during session is not allowed by academy. Parents can take weekly feedback from faculty. (iii) If faculty is at your door step for any reasons parents are not there, it will be considered as regular lecture to be paid by parents. For any change of schedule /program me the parents must inform the faculty well in advance. 10. The parents must ensure that their children show their school test papers to our tutors, well in advance for their perusal and express all their difficulties and problems which can affect their future performance. 11. All visits will have to be completed within schedule period of time. 12. Only Minor adjustment of sessions or visits is possible with mutual understanding with faculty concerned, if a student misses a lesson. 13. We make learning a delightful experience. Emphasize that a faculty must not only be a master in his subject but also act as an emotional coach. He must inculcate proper attitudes and skill required to face challenges in life with confidence. 14. If parents shift their place of residence within Mumbai city, they can seek support of another tutor from our academy by contacting our nearest educational Divisional Manager. For no reasons, fees once paid will be refunded. 15. If any faculty is found violating the expected norms of behavior of our academy his or her services shall be terminated and concerned students will be provided alternate arrangement. The parents will have no say in the internal domestic enquiry or disciplinary procedure conducted against the concerned faculty. 16. Regarding TIME TABLE/T.N.L & VISIT: (i) The time table schedule can be altered at the time of examination or due to any other emergency for the administrative convenience of STA so as to complete the balance portion in time. Any changes regarding tuition timing and schedule of lessons, the parents shall be informed well in advance. (ii) Once your daily time table is confirmed it would not be changed. For any clarification regarding the balance no of sessions /visits, parents must contact our time table department. (iii ) Two visits on the same day for the same student will not be possible unless there is an emergency. (iv) For admitting any new student parents must contact our Educational Divisional Manager only. (v) At the end of the academic year if parents feel that faculties have completed their obligations/duty (contract) then they must inform H.0 in writing /mail through E.D.M. 17. General Schedule. Tuition timing for I.C.S.E & C.B.S.E: will be between 4 PM to 8.30 PM. in between any time as per mutual convenience. Tuitions timing for IGCSE & IB: between 4:30 PM and 8.30 PM. Tuitions timing for state board and other boards and other courses: Between 2 PM and 9.30 PM or between 7 AM and 12.30 PM. No tuition will be taken by our faculty beyond 9 PM. Our Time Table Department officers shall confirm after taking into consideration the availability of our faculty. Parents can only contact us during office hrs only 10 AM 8:00 PM. 18. Our Educational Relationship Managers will visit the parents if need be, to resolve the issue, if any. 19 (i) The students of FULL TIME COURSE who have some personal problems can avail themselves of the facility of free counseling only once in an academic year. Additional Counseling sessions will be charged on case to case basis. (ii) Parents must note that all visits for tuition must be completed within stipulated period of current academic year. 20. NOTE: (i) Please keep yourselves updated with our E-mail , circulars, website etc. (ii) Telephonic conversation for feedback on teachers should be brief, correct, informative and to the point. (iii) Every visit of our faculty should be confirmed by the parents by endorsing the monthly programme card shown by the faculty. Once parents have endorsed the first visit of a teacher, it confirms the academic programme for the student. (iv) The parents have to confirm within ten days expressing their satisfaction by proper feedback. However, the parents have to pay for every visit of the teacher even if they express dissatisfaction. No request for change of a teacher will be entertained beyond the tenth day, as we have to confirm all our teachers well in advance to plan our time table for the full academic / special sessions. (v) Once the teacher signs the contract it shall be binding on the teacher as well as the parents for full academic year /special sessions. (vi) No coaching will be done if there is no responsible member, (preferably an adult member) present at home to supervise. If such thing happens it must be immediately brought to the notice of management through respective E.D.M. (vii) Payment should be made promptly without any delay. Otherwise the contract will be terminated. Cheque bouncing cases will be strictly dealt with by taking legal recourse. No request for changes in installments/ schedules or dates will be entertained. (viii) Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance. We solicit your active co-operation for mutual benefits.
